An important family of high performance pigments (HPP) is termed complex inorganic color pigments, or CICPs. Chemically, these pigments are synthetic crystalline metal oxides that have structures identical to those of naturally occurring minerals. They called complex because they contain two or more different metal oxides. CICPs are used when outstanding color stability is required.
